Three Businesses. One Group.

Diverse individuals with a single passion. We at the Praher Group set ourselves a major goal decades ago: to unite diverse individuals with their special skills and ambitions within our corporate family. These personalities are united by the desire to do great things – specifically in the manufacturing and sale of plastic products of the highest quality. And today we are closer to this goal than ever before: three exceptional companies with locations around the world have been brought together under the umbrella of the Praher Group.

From a one-man operation to a global player – In 1971, Ludwig Praher had a particular goal – he wanted to become one of the world’s leading specialists in the production of the best plastic valves. This one-man operation with a dream has grown into a flowering corporate family with production sites, branches and partners around the world.

Our History

2015

Two important areas of the Praher family are successfully merged: “Praher Valves” and “Praher Kunststofftechnik” become “Praher Plastics”. This brings transparent structures and a particularly high level of efficiency along with a clearer focus on industry.

2010/11

The conveyor systems and high-bay warehouse in Schwertberg are modernized.

2009

A new company building is opened at the head office – with additions for logistics as well as modern office and social space for our employees.
Sales offices and representation offices are also established in Dubai and Malaysia.

2007

The Dutch company “IBG” is acquired and integrated into the Praher Group as “IBG-PRAHER B.V.”.

2005

The constantly growing product portfolio makes restructuring necessary: The sales department for industrial applications is separated out, the swimming pool and natural pool area is spun off and founded as a separate company under the name of “Peraqua Professional Water Products”.

2000/2001

The company passes through another growth phase. New production halls for large machinery are built in Schwertberg.

1996

After smaller and larger phases of expansion at the original site in Schwertberg, the most extensive expansion so far now takes place: a fully automated high-bay warehouse with over 4,000 pallet bays goes into operation.

1995

The company is certified according to ISO 9001 ff.

1987

A dedicated sales office is founded in Germany. In the years that follow, sales activities are also intensified in other countries.

1986

A new location is founded in Canada. As a company with our own production, we succeeded in crossing the big pond to be closer to our customers.

1985

Continuous increases in sales bring great success and expansions at the Schwertberg location.

1973

The first building is constructed at the current site in Schwertberg. This marks the start of the production of valves – such as the first ball valve of type S1 – and the first accessories for mechanical engineering.

1971

A hobby becomes a calling. Ludwig Praher begins the company history by founding “Ludwig Praher Kunststoffverarbeitung und Formenbau”. This one-man operation began with the production of technical plastics and plastic injection molds for production of the parts.
